Year Round Staff

OBCM's office in Arnold's Park is staffed year-round by the following people.

Jon Pausley

Jon Pausley of Milford, Iowa joined the OBCM staff on October 1, 2018. He then became Executive Director on January 1, 2019. Jon has served as the executive director of Cherish Center in Milford, Iowa (cherishcenter.org) for the past 5 years. He has been a member of the OBCM board of directors since 2015. He has a heart for people and a passion for leadership. Jon has been married to his wife Shantel for 16 years and they have 3 children Grace, Abby, and Jake. Shantel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT).

Judy Graanstra

On staff since 2005, Judy is a wife, mother, and grandmother serving part-time as Operations Director at OBCM. She is responsible for all financial bookkeeping, donor communication, and care. She also provides administrative support for the annual Bible Conference. Judy and husband Dave reside in Spirit Lake and have four married daughters. They love spending time with their growing, extended family and are members of Good News Community Church. When not counting dollars and cents, Judy enjoys calculating miles on her bicycle.

Casandra Struthers

Casandra joined the OBCM staff in 2016. She holds a degree in Practical Ministry and has traveled around the world doing missions. Her part-time work as Administrative Associate includes organizing, coordinating and supporting publicity, housing, concessions, and specified projects. She also provides service to our Housekeeping department throughout the year. She loves to spend time with her nephews and her backyard wildlife, feeding the birds and squirrels every morning.

Conference Leadership

Jody Van Kley

Jody Van Kley - As a member of the Conference Leadership Team, Jody carries all operational responsibility for conference planning, communication, travel, and management. She resides in Sheldon, Iowa where she is the worship coordinator and children’s director at Bethel Reformed Church. Jody is married to Conference Pastor Dave Van Kley. They have 2 married sons: Kent and his wife Mariss and Ross and his wife Olivia.

Dave Van Kley

Dave Van Kley - Dave is the conference pastor. In that role, he provides warm continuity to the "upfront" leadership of the event. Dave also takes a hands-on role in Pastors Day, worship leadership, prayer prompting, and pastoral care. Dave is an ordained pastor of the Reformed Church in America serving as pastor at Bethel Reformed Church, Sheldon, Iowa.

SteveYost

Steve Yost – Steve builds a team of worship leaders and joins the Van Kleys and conference guests to craft rich, memorable worship gatherings throughout the 9 days of the event. Steve guides the various components of the plenary gatherings in preparation for God’s Spirit to have freedom with God’s people. Steve serves as the worship and arts director at Christ Community Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Steve and his wife Timaree have four sons, three daughters-in-law, and eight grandchildren.

Jordan Newhouse

Jordan Newhouse - Jordan is a graduate of Wheaton College. He grew up in Omaha and again resides there following several years in worship leadership in Chicago-area churches. Currently, Jordan is working on the vocal music staff at an Omaha area high school and also teaches private voice and piano lessons.

Scottie

Scottie May - Scottie has been involved with Conference her entire life. She has served on the board of directors for many years and now as a voice on the leadership team. Author, speaker, and former Wheaton College professor, Scottie loves the flexibility of retirement life.
