There is a time that takes place on the first Sunday morning of Conference every year. It is one of my favorite times of the week because it is so moving. It happens during the report to the conference family. It is a time where we remember the lives of those who were part of the Conference family who passed away since the last Conference.

Every year I am amazed at the lasting legacy that continues through generations. Every year there is painful loss due to unexpected illness or tragedy as well as peaceful home goings from a long life lived. In all of it the joy of knowing eternity In Christ is secured brings a beautiful moment of earthly grief blended with heavens hope.

The Book of Memory kept in our office, and on display at Conference, remembers those for whom a memorial to Conference was given. There are hundreds of people in the book.
