Thanks for visiting and thanks especially for checking out WHAT’S NEW! If you have visited the site before, it’s obvious that the website is new. That’s a great way to begin to unveil the theme for Conference 2012, derived from the Bible’s promises of 1 Peter 1:3: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his abundant mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR CONFERENCE 2012 PREVIEW DINNERS!

CAMPUS CLEAN-UP AND WORK DAY

FOUNDER’S DAUGHTER, JEAN BROWN BISHOP, PASSES AWAY
Services were held at Christ Community Church in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday, January 27. Scottie May and Rick Porter represented the Conference Association. Christ Community Church has been Jean’s church home since her birth.

Jean was born in 1923, the year R. R. Brown began his radio broadcast out of which the annual summer conference at Okoboji was born. Jean is survived by husband, Jack Bishop; daughters: Cindy Harmon (Gary) of Lincoln, NE, Nancy Davies (Dale); son, David Bishop (Linda); daughter, Melanie Newhouse (Mark, a member of the Conference Association Board of Directors), all of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, May Brown (widow of late and former Conference Director, Dr. R.
